Buddy went beachy with his latest light project. While camping at a lake in Idaho this summer, we found this awesome piece of driftwood. He hung it from rope tied with anchor knots and used cool porcelain sockets for the Edison bulbs.
Now doesn’t this make you think of a cozy beach house? Well it did me so I was then inspired to go beachy with my projects.
I started with the coffee table, a nice size but a little shaky. To make it sturdier I added square lumber pieces to the bottom which also works as a shelf. To reinforce the thin top I added crate boards and white washed them for the beachy style.
The two side tables were the same condition, a little shaky with thin tops. I added more crate boards to the tops and barn boards to the bottoms then casters on all.
