I kept my projects small but fun this week. I started with this tongue and groove cedar trunk. It is a great size but was oh so boring.

To liven it up I painted it chartreuse on the outside and raspberry on the inside. Then added the wow factor with these big bold peonies. I finished it off with new bright white hardware and casters.

Next was this small antique side table loaded with great details but the brown had to go.

I went with a pretty teal color and, big surprise, added a stencil. To finish it off I used dark wax to show off its great trim and added casters because it seemed a bit too low.

Last was another antique table, very pretty, but again the boring brown had to go.

I chose a soft blue and used a simple stencil for the top and classic stripes below. Now it’s much prettier and because of it’s great height it’s perfect for today’s taller furniture.
