I had this small drop leaf table that was looking sad, boring and lonely. The paint and stencil made it happy and interesting but it was still lonely so I gathered more pieces to turn the lone table into a small banquette set.
The two chairs were painted and upholstered to match. No they are not identical but they look nice together and adds interest and that homey feel.
Then the banquette bench…I took this ugly corner shelf, cut it in half and attached the two pieces together side by side.
The back is a beautiful antique twin headboard and the seat is padded and topped with the same fun polka dot fabric as the chairs.
The next collection of pieces and parts started with a cabinet that I had put together years ago from two end tables stacked and trimmed out to look like one piece.
It was looking a bit tired so I gathered up some parts to add to it. I started by attaching the small set of drawers to the top. I was able to turn it on its side because the drawers are square and can go either direction. The decorative pieces that top it off are two shelf brackets. To dress up the doors I used photo copies of a page pulled out of an old book.
