My daughter Cassie (a.k.a. partner-in-crime) and I look forward to our treasure hunting every friday. We are so lucky to live in an area that has such fantastic local sales. We never come home empty handed.

We began today slightly bummed because of the weather, but we suited up in our rain gear, and after stopping at our favorite coffee stand we were ready to shop. The only sale we found that actually braved the weather was an annual sale on pioneer that has been running for 35 years by a group of great old guys. They immediatly asked if we were crazy to be out yard saling in the thunder and lightning. We said “definitely yes” and they let us look under their tarps anyway. We were not optimistic as we scanned the many tables of fishing supplies, gun ammo, and rusted tools but suddenly we found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Under a tarp, at the edge of the sale, were these two beautiful ladies.

The vanities were awesome, but the icing on the cake were the gorgeous, unique detailed mirrors that went with them.

And these wonderful little shelves had to come home with us too, because they were only a $1, and they fit in the car with the two vanities. These are going to be such fun pieces to upcycle.
