The beautiful weather turned the usual Wednesday blog into a shopping trip for inspriration and much needed supplies. I went exploring in my new Dodge Truck, which provides me with a much needed upgrade to my cargo capacity. Look out yard salers…seriously, lookout this Big Horn Truck doesn’t corner well.
The first stop was The Design Cottage in Tacoma (http://www.designcottageinteriors.com/) to check out the Annie Sloan paint and wax everyone has been raving about. I got some very helpful information and am anxious to try it out. I only purchased the dark and clear waxes, but I will be looking for the perfect project to try out the chalk paint. I will keep you posted on my opinion of it.
Next, I was off to Dwelling in Tacoma. This is a great store for supplies, especially paper and fabric. I really liked these lightweight reversible cardboard placemats. They had a variety of colors and they were only $2 each. They also had other beautiful paper placemats that were only $1 each, and would be great for dressing up a dining room table, or craft projects.
Last stop, after a much needed detour for frozen yogurt, was Paper Muse in Sumner. They have such a fantastic selection of paper, and carry a variety of prints in the larger sizes. Check out all the fun prints I got at Paper Muse and Dwelling:
I got so many great ideas from these fabulous shops, so it is time to get back to the wood shop, and back to work.
